What are your favourite summer trends?
“Summer beauty is all about a bronzed body and a luminescent complexion. I love using my After Sun Body Oil after a day in the sun on arms, legs, décolletage and face for a glistening bronze look. On the face, use the Light Patrol Palette to highlight the cheekbones, eyes and lips.”
What’s your must-have product?
“My Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Primer is a must have anytime of year. It hydrates your complexion and provides the perfect canvas for your makeup to adhere to. Not to prime is a crime!”
Brushes, sponges or fingers?
“Definitely not sponges, as you waste too much product. I always use brushes as a makeup artist and on myself – application is easier and you use less product. Fingers are fine to use in some circumstances as the heat from your hands actually helps to move product easily, but they must always be sanitized.”
What’s your hot weather beauty secret?
“Whether I’m in LA or Sydney, which are both hot climates, the secret to remaining fresh throughout the day is using a mattifier. I use my Pore Minimizer and Mattifier when I’m applying my makeup and then reapply throughout the day as I need to. On the red carpet at the Primetime Emmys we used it on all the celebrities to make sure they remained matte under the heat.”
What’s the biggest difference between LA and Australian beauty trends?
“In LA it’s totally acceptable and expected to invest in and embrace cosmetic enhancements like botox, collagen, restalin, hair extensions and of course cosmetic surgery, and its okay to talk about it. In Australia it’s about embracing a much more natural beauty look. There is still a lot of effort and product that goes into that look, but sometimes you can’t tell.”
Which celebrity would you most like to give a make over and why?
“I would love to work with Julia Roberts. I really admire her as an actress and I think she is beautiful, but over the last few years it seems like she hasn’t spent as much time on her beauty look. I would love to show her how easy it could be to look amazing.”
