Seasons up

Okay, so I’m sure at some point in the past I rabbited on that I wanted winter to hurry up and happen. A few months ago it couldn’t come fast enough. I wanted all my winter orders to arrive – to rug up in luscious knits, scarves, leather jackets, strange boots and pretty much go into hibernation on the weekends. However, as we’re now in the thick of it, the grass is always greener…in the summertime that is. If you live in Sydney you will know that it is a windy city, so not only are we experiencing chilly six degree temperatures but the wind makes it at least three degrees cooler = 3-4 more layers to think about dressing up in come the morning which leaves you resembling something closer to an Eskimo rather than an elegant editor. I just want to feel the warm breeze sweep over me as I walk out of the office to grab my sushi-on-the-go lunch rather than be abruptly confronted by the gale force chill harbored in The Park Street Wind Tunnel. I’d also like to go and get a spray tan and pedi and actually have the ability to show it off. It’s hard not to long for the hot months whilst working on our summer October issue with all the most beautiful summer samples in our cupboard just mocking me that “nanananana, it’s too cold to wear me.” More (unintentional) torture comes from our picture and production Editor Brooke as she sends pages of her fave celebrity pics for us to see each day capturing celebs on their summery outings with stocking-less legs and a glow that only a hot balmy day can give you. So summer, if you’re listening, please come back, I would like to wear the below dress asap!
